     Ernesto J. Lamadrid

Dr. Ernesto Lamadrid was born in Miami, FL and raised in Puerto Rico. He went to the University of Puerto Rico where he received a bachelor of science in biology. He earned his medical degree at the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Ureña in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in 1992. Completed two years of post-graduate training at Auxilio Mutuo Hospital in Puerto Rico. He moved to Gainesville in 1998 and worked with the Florida Department of Corrections in several clinical and administrative positions until 2006. In 2006 he was employed with the Alachua County Health Department in Gainesville where he practiced primary care and was in charge of the HIV clinic. In 2007 he was promoted to medical director of the Bureau of HIV/AIDS in Tallahassee, FL. But in 2007 decided to return to clinical practice back at the Health Department. He has worked in primary care for the last 18 years and has cared for HIV infected individuals for the last 16 years.
 
He was clinical assistant professor for the College of Nursing of the University of Florida and Clinical Instructor of Nova Southeastern University. He is licensed in Florida and Puerto Rico. He also bilingual and speaks both Spanish and English.

 

Nurse Practitioner

     Kalynn B Matisco

Kalynn has recently joined our office bringing many years of experience in the Medical field. She recently retired from UF Health Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine. Among her accomplishments, Kalynn holds a Masters of Science in Nursing as well as a Doctorate of Science in Nursing. Her carreer has taken place in various settings from hospitals (Alabama, Panama City & Shands) to Health Departments (Bay County) and now private practice.

Certifications include Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner.

Nelida Lamadrid

Office Manager

 

Nélida opened and developed this office from the start. She runs the daily operation of the office and assists our patients with any administrative need. She wil will work with to find the nest way we can meet your neds. She is a very hard worker dedicated to work with our team. She is a mother of three girls. She enjoys cooking, reading and trips to Disney. She also speaks Spanish.

Front Desk/Reception Team

Our front desk team will greet you at check-in and check-out, answer the phone, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect copays and fax documents among other duties. 

Medical Assistant Team

Our medical assistant team will meet with the patient first to take vitals and medical history/chief complaint for the visit. They will assist the physician and or nurse practitioner as needed as well as working on lab orders, prescriptions, messages,etc.  

Prior Authorization Specialist

Our prior authorization specialist will submitt any necessary documentation for medications or medical services in order to continue care for our patients.

In the future she plans to open her own business. She enjoys her family, friends, country music and shopping. Patty speaks English and Spanish.

Blake Fosmoe - Front Desk & Medical Assistant

Gainesville native. Attends UF. Special interest in Medical Field. Enjoys all about cars.

Elise Joseph - Front Desk, Medical Assistant & Prior Auth Specialist

Recently moved to Gainesville. Worked as Medical Assistant for 8 years. Has experience in Endocrinology and Pathology. Enjoys helping staff and patients in any way possible. Elise speaks Haitian Creole.

Eileen Perez Medical Assistant

Attends UF. Her plans include become a Pediatrician. Eileen speaks english and Spanish.
